Wednesday evening at 1st Source Bank in La Porte, their "Business After Hours" event was held in partnership with the Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce. These nights give the community a unique opportunity to branch out and meet other people and businesses they might not ordinarily interact with and open new horizons for attendees.
Raymond & Spence Insurance Group, an insurance group offering home, auto, life & business insurance, has opened in La Porte at 1212 Lincolnway. The building has been recently remodeled, and the company continues to invite the public to see the building and learn about available services. To celebrate their opening, Raymond & Spence hosted a grand opening and ribbon cutting with the Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce last week.
A new addition to Community Healthcare System, Community Stroke and Rehabilitation Center, at 10215 Broadway Ave., will provide Lake County residents with exceptional care that is convenient and close to home. The four story 129,000 square-foot multispecialty facility in Crown Point will feature inpatient rehabilitation treatment along with physician practices, outpatient services and immediate care for family health and wellness. Upon completion targeted for Spring of 2019, the new center is expected to provide jobs for about 100 full-time employees.
Every other year, The Economic Development Corporation of Michigan City and the Greater La Porte Economic Development Corporation put on a unique event for the La Porte County community- The Made in La Porte County manufacturers showcase. The Showcase, which caters to over 40 La Porte County businesses and organizations, held a meet-and-greet Business After Hours dinner on Wednesday at the Foster Printing Facility in Michigan City to introduce the various organizations to each other before the actual showcase on Thursday.
