TRICK OR TREAT! Friday, October 19 is Teen Night at the La Porte Family YMCA and Halloween is the theme. Come dressed with a costume for a spooky good time with a costume contest, a mummy (no not mommy) design contest with toilet paper, a Harry Potter movie blown up on the wall, Muggle Quidditch, Halloween dance music and of course, Halloween snacks and candy! The fun begins at 6:00 p.m. and goes until 9:00 p.m. and remember, Friday Night is Teen Night!

Unity Foundation Annual Luncheon
Chamber members are invited to join Unity Foundation of La Porte County for its Annual Luncheon celebration at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 24 at Best Western La Porte Hotel & Conference Center. In addition to sharing highlights from the past year, attendees will learn about an exciting Pledge-a-Palooza opportunity to leverage funds for area nonprofits in conjunction with Unity's 20th Anniversary Gala event on April 27, 2013.

70's Themed Pre-Thanksgiving Party
Fortune Delivery Services will be hosting a 70's Themed Pre-Thanksgiving Party at Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa in the SAMs town room on Saturday November 10th. Doors will be open from 5:00 p.m.– 10:00 p.m. and tickets are $65 dollars. Tickets include an open bar and dinner buffet. Sounds will be provided by DJ Al B. Halloween at Crows In The Cupboard
The leaves are changing and fall has finally arrived. That means there is a new fall and Halloween display at Crows in the Cupboard! WWRH 4th Annual Dinner
Worthy Women Recovery Home is hosting the 4th Annual Dinner on November 3, 2012. The event will take place at the Silver Palace, and doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with dinner from 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Tickets are $25. The guest speaker will be Dr. Mann Spitler III, who will share the heartbreaking story of his daughter's fatal Heroin overdose. Come hear Dr. Spitler parent's version of educating our community. WWRH will also have 3 of their Ladies share their personal stories of hopelessness turned into HOPE and VICTORY because of WWRH's work in the Jail. The Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce, the Michigan City Area Chamber of Commerce and Purdue University North Central will host the Fall Economic Briefing on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at PNC- LSF Building 144.
