Real Estate Drive Benefits St. Monica Home

St-Monica-Home-Baby-ShowerRepresentatives of McColly Real Estate’s 17 local offices in Northwest Indiana and Illinois recently conducted a month-long “baby shower” collection drive for necessities to be donated to St. Monica Home on the Franciscan St. Margaret Health-Dyer campus.

Melissa Coduti, second from right, said she came up with the plan after checking online for community donation ideas and a fitting area agency to be the recipient. The company also distributed a press release, made posters and put notices on social media, advertising the drive.

The McColly Foundation campaign has benefited numerous area programs. St. Monica manager Liz Guzman-Arredondo, left, called the effort “awesome and a great surprise,” adding she received the call about the collection “out of the blue.”

Since 1994, the home has offered a medically sound and emotionally healthy residential environment for women aged 12 to 21 who are awaiting the birth of a child. Residents, whose average length of stay is nine months, learn positive relationships and parenting skills under the guidance of experienced and encouraging resident advisers.
