Carl Ridle Named New Executive Director of the Michigan City Human Rights Department


After a thorough and joint search by Mayor Ron Meer and the Human Right Commission, Mayor Ron Meer is pleased to announce that he has appointed Mr. Carl Ridle as the new Executive Director of the Michigan City Human Rights Department.

Mr. Ridle attended public schools in East Chicago, Indiana and graduated from East Chicago Washington High School in 1977. He continued his education at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana under the Groups Scholarship Program, a program initially designed to help assist first generation individuals in underserved communities realize their dreams of attending college. In 1982, Mr. Ridle earned his B.A. in Forensic Science.

Mr. Ridle’s professional career began in 1983 with the Indiana Department of Correction at the Rockville Training Center. In 1986, he transferred to the Westville Correctional Center....
