The Board of Directors for the Economic Development Corporation Michigan City, Indiana (EDCMC) has announced the appointment of Brenda Temple to fill a vacancy through the end of this year which was left by the departure of Lief Erickson. Brenda will begin a three year term starting in 2019 as the City of Michigan City appointee.

Jill McCoy was Sand Creek Country Club’s assistant professional golfer from 2006-2012 and left to find another professional opportunity. Having remained in touch with the Sand Creek team, McCoy jumped at a new opportunity to instruct golf—she always wanted to teach, and she loved working at the club. This past March, McCoy returned to Sand Creek as Director of Instruction.

NIPSCO and Parent Company, NiSource, Host Charity of Choice Wrap-up to Celebrate Charitable Employees
NIPSCO is known for providing power to almost all of Northwest Indiana. However, their parent company, NiSource, likes to provide in other ways as well. Every year, employees pick and choose one cause to raise money for, such as Cancer Society of America, the American Heart Association, of different nonprofits to benefit veterans. This year, they chose the Autism Society of Indiana. At the Charity of Choice wrap-up event at the NISource headquarters, the employees totaled the money and announced how much they raised to donate.

What Kim enjoys most about her job is that the other employees in her department work very well together day to day. According to Kim “Everyone works as a fluid team, which helps make work exciting.” Kim also finds fulfillment in knowing that she is able to keep the resident rooms clean.
