Managing Editor Named for Northwest Indiana Magazines

2014-11-20-NWIBQ-HeadshotLaurie Wink has been named as managing editor of the Northwest Indiana Business Quarterly and Retirement Living magazines. The announcement was made by Glee Renick-May, president and CEO of May Communications Group, LLC, based in Indianapolis.

Wink has more than 30 years of communication experience in writing, editing, journalism and public relations. She has won national and state awards for news reporting, magazine editing and newsletter production. Wink’s diverse work experience includes newspapers, universities, state government, a professional association and nonprofit organizations.

A resident of Michigan City since 2003, Wink is president of the communications business Words in a Wink. She serves on the board of directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Northwest Indiana chapter; La Porte County Habitat for Humanity; and the Barker Civic Center Commission in Michigan City.

Wink has an M.A. in journalism and a Ph.D. in college and university administration from Michigan State University. She received a B.S. in secondary education from Central Michigan University.
