The LaPorte High School Winter Color Guard competed in the prelims at the Winter Guard International World Championships held in Dayton, OH, April 3, 4 and 5. Twenty-four guards advanced from the Xavier University Cintas Center site to semi-finals in the Scholastic A Class with LaPorte finishing 31st out of 61 guards overall at the site.
LaPorte won several Midwest Color Guard Circuit Contests during the season and placed third at the MWCGC Championships. Auditions for the fall LPHS Marching Band Color Guard will be held in early May. Interested students should pick up LPMB registration information from the band room or main office in late April prior to auditions.
