Three consecutive Hands-Only CPR classes will be held Wednesday, June 11 at the La Porte County Public Library, 904 Indiana Ave., in the large meeting room. There will be three sessions at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. Feel free to drop in on the hour to take part in this wonderful opportunity.
Hands Only CPR is a new and simplified technique and has been shown to be as effective as conventional CPR. Thanks to a grant from the American Heart Association, the Purdue Extension in La Porte County is offering this free training to groups and organizations. The first 30 minutes will be spent learning the technique and the last 20 minutes will be spent learning how to teach the information to family, friends, or other groups.
