2014 Purdue Grow Stronger Program to be held in Westville

PurdueLogoStronger, an 8-week fitness program, is coming to Westville. This program is based on years of research on how strength training and proper nutrition can improve our health. The benefits of strength training may include: increased strength and flexibility, improved balance and reduced falls, improved weight and glucose control and improved sleep and mood!

Growing Stronger begins on September 23rd at 11:00 a.m., and will meet each Tuesday and Thursday until November 25th at the New Durham Estates Community Center located at the intersection of Hwy 421 & State Road 2 in Westville. There will be no class on October 7, 16 and November 11 and 20. A required orientation will be held on August 26th at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Center.

Men and women who participate in the program will benefit from the fellowship with others, learning about healthy snacks, and practicing a series of exercises under the guidance of Allison Goshorn, a trained leader.

Weights are provided for your use during the class. Must be at least 18 years of age to participate. Class fee: $10.00.
