It was great to see a little sunshine this week. It was still very cold even with the sunshine, so we ask that students continue to wear winter coats to school. The second half of the year we will be busy preparing for standardized tests - ISTEP+ for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade beginning Feb. 27; IREAD3 for 3rd grade beginning March 13; Study Island benchmarking, and STAR testing (1-5). We want to thank all of you for your support at home. Encouraging your child to study vocabulary, spelling, math facts, and reading together are great ways to show your child that school is important. Working together we can achieve great things! Also, attendance is crucial as teachers are working with students to ensure students are prepared. Research shows that good attendance is an important factor in school success. Please encourage your child to be at school every day.
