Season’s photo Bonfire and acrylic painting Bear each won a Gold Key, and her photo See won a Silver Key. Season’s acrylic painting Bear also earned an American Vision & Voice Nomination. Five works of art were selected out of all Gold Key works (across categories) as the “Best of Show” for each region. The 2017 Scholastic Art Awards exhibition is showcasing students’ art at the museum in the Warner and Community Galleries through March 11.

Season has been interested in art since she was in kindergarten and enjoys drawing and painting with acrylics. She submitted artwork in the 2016 Scholastic Art Awards program and won five awards, and she says, “I will continue to submit my artwork each year.”

“Season is being recognized for her remarkable achievements in the arts with these prestigious awards,” says La Lumiere School art teacher Katie Wall. “We at La Lumiere are so proud of her talent, drive, vision, and execution.” Season is a student in Katie Wall’s 3D Art class and aspires to attend a university in the United States to study both art and economics.
