La-Lumiere-Student-Athletes-Sign-Letters-of-Intent-2017Six La Lumiere School student-athletes signed letters of intent earlier this month, solidifying their academic and athletic college of choice for the coming fall semester. Seniors Andi Breitowich of La Porte, Indiana; Isaiah Coleman Lands of Indianapolis; Jacob Epperson of Australia; Channing Scott of Granger, Indiana; Sarah Van Sessen of Westville, Indiana; and Pantelis Xidias of Michigan City, Indiana were the focus of a special assembly held by the school and attended by the La Lumiere student body and faculty.

Andi Breitowich will be a member of the track and field team as a pole vaulter at Emory University in Atlanta. Isaiah Coleman Lands will enroll at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and play on the men’s basketball team. Jacob Epperson has committed to be a Bluejay and will play Division I basketball at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Channing Scott is off to study at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida and will also row on the Division I women’s rowing team. Sarah Van Sessen will be a Boilermaker this fall at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and row as a member of Purdue Crew. Pantelis Xidias has chosen to play basketball at DePaul University in Chicago.

The La Lumiere School community is proud of each student-athlete as they set forth to achieve their goals at the colleges and universities they choose, and in the careers they pursue.

About La Lumiere School
La Lumiere School challenges and supports each of its 228 students to thrive—here on our wooded campus in La Porte, Indiana, an hour southeast of Chicago; in the colleges they pursue; and throughout their lives. We meet our freshmen where they are, carefully stretching them out of their comfort zones while maintaining an intentional, supportive environment. Graduation finds seniors who are well on their way to growing into the best versions of themselves, comfortable in their own skins yet hungry for the next challenge—students who have grown in character, scholarship, and faith, and who believe that they’re at the helm of their own journey.

We are accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) and the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA). Learn more about La Lumiere School at lalumiere.org.
