The La Porte High School Winter Color Guard won the Scholastic Open Class at the Midwest Color Guard Circuit Contest held on February 11 at Naperville Central High School in Naperville, IL. Complete results of the Scholastic Open Class were as follows:
- La Porte - 66.9
- Naperville Central - 65.3
- Lake Central - 55.5
La Porte will travel to Indianapolis on February 17 and 18 to compete in the Winter Guard International Indianapolis Regional Championships. La Porte High School will host the MWCGC Championships on April 7 and 8.
