As spring blooms into summer, a variety of camps are available at Purdue University Northwest for school-age students during summer break.
Cybersecurity camp PNW’s College of Technology offers a hands-on experience exposing students to cybersecurity fundamentals, robot game design, cyber forensics, ethical hacking and principles key to cybersecurity awareness. There will also be a team competition solving a simulated computer forensics case.
The camp is offered on June 11-15 and June 18-22 for students entering grades 9-12 and will be held at the PNW Hammond Campus.

SlamCamp PNW’s Department of English and the Michigan City Public Library are co-sponsoring the seventh annual SlamCamp for middle school students. The camp provides a full week of writing, art, theater performances, games and fun.
The camp is offered June 18-21 for students entering grades 6-9 and held at the Michigan City Public Library, 100 East 4th Street.

Engineering camp PNW’s College of Engineering and Enbridge are partnering to introduce middle and high school students to fundamental concepts of civil, mechanical, electrical and computer engineering through hands-on, laboratory and classroom experiences.
The camp is offered June 11-15 for students entering grades 6-8, and June 18-22 for students entering grades 9-12 and held on the PNW Hammond Campus.

Forensic Science camp PNW’s College of Engineering gives high school students an opportunity to learn methods and techniques used in forensic science. Fingerprint collection and crime scene processing utilizing cutting-edge virtual reality training will be included among the workshops.
The camp is offered July 9-13 for students entering grades 11 and 12 and held on the PNW Hammond Campus. Tuition, which includes supplies and lunch daily, is $295 per participant. Scholarships are available. Application deadline is Friday, June 22.

Camps at Gabis Arboretum Children ages 6 to 11 can join one or all seven week-long camps starting June 11 offered by Gabis Arboretum at Purdue Northwest, formerly known as Taltree. The 330-acre arboretum, located just west of Valparaiso, transforms into an exciting outdoor classroom. Each camp includes hikes, science projects, games and more.
