2013 Summer Adventure Camp

No-Bummer-Summer-Camp-2013Become a part of the continuing summer tradition at the La Porte County Family YMCA. The Summer Adventure Camp program begins on May 30 and runs through August 19. Children will be given the opportunity to learn, explore and discover at the YMCA’s new outdoor education/recreation facility (Andrew Avenue). Daily excursions will include a visit to the campsite, swimming, games, archery, sports, arts/crafts and leadership development. Under the guidance of trained camp counselors, campers will also be treated to weekly field trips to exciting locations including Deep River Water Park, Fair Oaks Farm and a Silverhawks game.

Summer Adventure Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm, with before and after care available at 6:30 am until 6:00 pm. For families needing transportation to and from camp, the YMCA is conveniently offering two separate locations within your community for extended care and transportation to the YMCA campsite. For campers from the Michigan City area, drop off and care begins at 6:30 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church (818 Franklin St) and after care will be provided until 6:00 pm. For other La Porte County residents, extended care is available at the La Porte YMCA branch (901 Michigan Ave). Camp is $85.00 per week for members, plus an additional $10.00 field trip fee. For those who are not YMCA members, camp is $115.00 a week with an additional $10.00 field trip fee. CCDF vouchers are accepted.
