La Porte County Family YMCA to hold World’s Largest Swimming Lesson on June 13

fillerThousands of children around the globe are participating in The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ to help beat the second leading cause of unintended, injury related death of children ages 1-14. A group of excited kids and families will be on site at The La Porte County Family YMCA Jones Family Pool to participate in this global event.

The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ Guinness World Record attempt for the largest simultaneous swimming lesson ever conducted.

9:00 am: Media check-in begins
9:00 am: WLSL event kick off
10:00 am: WLSL world record attempt begins

The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ was created to spread the word that Swimming Lessons Save Lives™ – tragically, drowning is the second leading cause of unintended, injury related death of children ages 1-14. Research shows if a child doesn’t learn to swim before the 3rd grade, they likely never will.
