NIPSCO Launches Innovative Residential Energy Saving Program

rot2With summer temperatures heating up, Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) is introducing a new program that enables customers to receive and personalize home energy use information in a dynamic, digital report called “My Energy Scorecard.”

MyEnergyScorecard.com is powered using state-of-the-art technology from Accelerated Innovations® and WeatherBug®. NIPSCO customers may sign up to receive a custom energy report, which compares their home’s energy usage to similar-sized homes in the same climate zone. The report will be delivered via email six times this year.

The customer is invited to complete a property profile that includes layers of information about their home and also insight for future reports. Once their property profile is completed, users can also analyze historical usage data, monitor progress and see the results from their changing energy use behaviors.

“The more information and insight we can give our customers into their energy use, the more opportunities they have to find ways to save,” said Pauline Katsouros, manager of energy efficiency programs for NIPSCO. “My Energy Scorecard reports provide valuable insights in an easy-to-understand format.”

MyEnergyScorecard.com offers convenient report access using a PC, tablet or smartphone.

NIPSCO’s residential energy efficiency programs are administered by GoodCents, a third-party implementation specialist that helps homes save energy. Questions: Call GoodCents at 1-800-721-7385.
