The creativity and struggles of those recovering from addiction are expressed each week in the LaPorte office at Frontline Foundations, Inc. Matt Vessely and Tricia Lahey of 1st Source Bank visited Frontline to present a check for $3,955. This grant will support Frontline’s Art Recovery program in their La Porte location.
Art Recovery groups are offered free of charge to Frontline clients at both their Chesterton and La Porte offices. These weekly groups are facilitated by certified substance abuse treatment counselors and professional artists from the community.
“We are very appreciative of 1st Source Bank for providing this grant as the Art Recovery program allows clients to break down barriers and work through struggles,” stated Allen Grecula, Director of Clinical Services at Frontline Foundations. “Art recovery has been a success in many ways, but one area that we continually see success is that clients stay plugged in even after their treatment is completed, as a positive outlet and support system.”

Frontline Foundations is a Certified Addiction Services Outpatient Treatment Center and a 501 c3 Non-Profit. Generous grants such as this helps Frontline to bring hope to young people seeking substance abuse treatment and recovery.
“[The program] allows those that may not speak out in other groups to have a voice.” Explains Derek Frazier, Director of Development at Frontline. “It can also help those that are not comfortable with speaking about their issues to have a voice.”
