Friendship Botanic Gardens (FBG) has a storied history spanning many decades, and now we’re commemorating our rich legacy by publishing a book of photographs and stories that will provide readers a window into the remarkable past of FBG. The FBG Board of Directors is asking for your help in locating old photographs taken in the Gardens in the 1930’s, 40’s, 50’s or 60’s.
The Gardens held a very prominent place in the lives of La Porte County residents in the mid-twentieth century, and many members of the local community may have historical pictures from the heyday of Friendship Botanic Gardens stored in their attics and basements.
