Operation Roundup Gives to Harmony House/CASA of LaPorte

Operation-Roundup-gives-to-Harmony-House-CASA-of-LaPorteHarmony House/CASA received a $1,000 donation from Kankakee Valley REMC Operation Roundup for the youth scholarship fund. The Farm to Fork silent auction raised $1,200 for the scholarship fund giving us a total of $2,200 that will be used for youth who have been appointed volunteers in the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) or the Court Appointed Youth Advocate (CAYA) programs. These funds will provide enrichment activities or assistance for post- high school education.

The Kankakee Valley REMC Operation Roundup is fully funded by the Kankakee Valley REMC members who voluntarily round-up their electric bills each month to the nearest whole dollar and returned to non-profits organizations in the form of grants. To date, Operation Roundup has given back over $890,000 to support the great programs provided by not-for-profit groups in the area.

If you would like to donate or become a CASA or CAYA volunteer please contact mfritzen@lpcasa.com, go to the webpage www.lpcasa.com or Harmony House/CASA Facebook.
