The Rev. Francis Tebbe blesses with holy water a portion of the new Franciscan St. Margaret Health Infusion Center in Merrillville during a blessing and dedication program Dec. 14 at the 300 W. 80th Place location. Tebbe, who is director of mission and spiritual care services at Franciscan Healthcare-Munster, also offered prayers, along with members of the staff and officials, including hospital president Michael Stenger, for the success of the facility and the healing of its patients.
Denise Weaver, MD, the center’s director of infectious disease, said the project, which was about six months in the making, will fill a community need. “It will offer patients more convenience, shorter hospitals stays and speedier recoveries – all things needed to help expedite a good result,” she said.
