Franciscan Health Hammond Hospital, Students Help Quench a Thirst for Help

franciscan-bishop-noll-thirstFranciscan Health Hammond came to the rescue recently when a truck was needed for delivery of more than 1,000 cases of drinking water, collected by Bishop Noll Institute students, to aid East Chicago residents who have been affected by tap-water lead contamination.

The students needed help transporting the water to a warehouse for later delivery to the neighborhoods and requested the hospital’s assistance. The hospital complied and sent a laundry truck, onto which students loaded the water.
