On June 10th, 2017, the idea of Will Sing 4 Food came to fruition. What started as a conversation in January before a church service, "Lets get some local talent together and raise money for charity”, turned into a $8643.75 donation to The Pax Center of LaPorte. The organizers rounded up 5 amazing local artist to play for an enthusiastic audience. Robbie Britton and band started off the night; followed by 2017 Hoosier Star finalist, Jayrnn Sampson; The Daves, including Dave Pratt and Dave Farris; GT and the Boys, Grace Tarnow, Bret and Kyle Oscarson; and rounding out the night was 2016 Hoosier Star winner James Neary.
Audience members voted with their dollars to hear more from the artists. "We are thrilled with the turnout of our first Will Sing 4 event. Our local sponsors are amazing and gave a nice boost to the success!" Qubit Networks, TKNN.Gives, and Journey Church were all top level events sponsors. Servpro of LaPorte County, Weber Family Dentistry, and Edward Jones were Artist level sponsors.
