Meals on Wheels of Northwest Indiana Seeking Volunteer for Miller and Hobart

Meals-On-Wheels-NWI-New-LogoMeals on Wheels delivers meals throughout Northwest Indiana five days per week. If you are looking to make a difference in your community, and in your waistline, why not help us deliver meals in your neighborhood? We have several volunteers who are exercising two or three times per week. Often while at their facilities they speak with others who are looking for things to do after exercise, why not do something that can benefit others? We are having orientation/training on August 8th, at 10:00 am, here in our offices at 8446 Virginia Street, Merrillville. Training lasts one hour and ends with a tour of our building. If you are not available on Tuesday, a second session is planned for Thursday, August 17th, at 1:00 pm.

Please call Volunteer Manager, Joan Vith, at 756-3663 to reserve your seat in our next training session. According to Joan, “Volunteers are making their communities stronger every day by offering to support their neighbors. Volunteers help our clients remain in the homes and neighborhoods they love. We have a critical need for drivers in the Miller and Hobart communities. We cannot meet our goals of meal delivery every day without the invaluable services of our volunteers.”
