"Writing to YourSelf" with Jane Lump

Free, registration required

Join us for an evening with Jane Lump, creator of "Writing to YourSelf", a 46-card series of writing prompts. Jane will read passages from her journals and have participants select one of her cards and write their own response. Those who are comfortable enough, can share their writing with the group. "Writing to YourSelf" cards are available for purchase in our Gallery Shop. Participants should bring a pen and paper or they are welcome to bring a journal.

LCA has a unique collection of classes to offer this season. New classes include Adult Photography and iPhoneography, both taught by local photographer and LCA's very own gallery assistant, Natalie Mills. A few of our one-day workshops, back by popular demand, are Fused Glass 1 and Mad Hatting & High Tea. For young artists, we have a new offering: Cartooning & Manga 2 for students who have completed Cartooning & Manga 1. And don't forget about Summer Camp! Culture Club Camp and Famous Art Camp return once again for ages 7-13.

Children's Scholarship Fund 2014

The Michigan City Public Art Committee was created in 2011 through an ordinance passed by the City Council of Michigan City. A portion of the MAC budget each year goes to scholarships for children from Michigan City to take art classes. Scholarships are available year round to learn more about scholarship information please see guidelines and application.
