Artistic Holiday Magic Highlights the December First Friday in the Uptown Arts District

Michigan-City-Mainstreet-AssociationThe Michigan City Mainstreet Association presents the First Friday Artwalk in the Uptown Arts District on December 5, 2014 from 5pm to 8pm. The Uptown Arts District is comprised of fine art galleries, businesses, retail and restaurants located in the area from 11th Street to the lake and Spring Street to Wabash Street in Michigan City, IN.

First Friday of December features new things in the District, including a must-visit Uptown Christmas Bazaar at the Uptown Center, 907 Franklin Street featuring over 20 unique vendors and Santa himself. Experience a Madrigal dinner at the First United Methodist Church (advance tickets required). Hear the church tower chimes of Trinity Episcopal ringing Advent hymns while gazing at the Southern Shore Art Association’s exhibit, Gift of Art: Art Under $200. Walnut-Ink is featuring “Screenplay”, two & three dimensional screen printing art; and there’s Intaglio prints by Stephanie Carnell at Lubeznik. Plus so much more!

Is it music that you are seeking? If so, there’s plenty as Trouble Blind Band will be at Lubeznik Center, Michael Stupar headlines the MainStreet Theatre, the Pete Castronova trio at Maxine’s, Peter Nye @ the Pickle & Turnip and hourly live performances at the Uptown Center. Be there and stay all night long.
