Michigan City Lions to Host Annual Spring Pancake Breakfast

Lions-Pancake-2013The pancake breakfast is a charity fundraising event to benefit the many charities our local organization helps. These charities include, The Salvation Army, local individual eye care and hearing assistance cases, The Open Door Health Center, The Men’s Homeless Shelter, Stepping Stone Shelter for Women, The Boy Scouts, The Lions Leader Dog Program, The Lions Cancer Control initiative, The Lions Eye and Tissue Bank, and the Lions Speech and Hearing Program. In addition to these programs, some of the funds we raise go toward a $2,500 scholarship that is awarded annually to an outstanding high school senior at one of the area high schools. The award is given in honor of Lion Edward Paine, a member of the Michigan City Lions Club who served as international president of the organization many years ago.
