NWI Young Professionals Bring You the First Annual Region Games: May 5th

Good things happen when great people come together all in the name of philanthropy. On Saturday May fifth, five regional young professionals’ groups: Full Circle Young Professionals (from the Duneland and Portage Chambers), EPIC (Crossroads Chamber), Young Leaders United (YLU – United Way of Porter County), La Porte Jaycees (La Porte Chamber), and the Lakefront Career Network (LCN – Michigan City Chamber) will host the first annual Region Games!

We asked some representatives why their group decided to participate in this one of a kind event:

Mackenna Schon from Young Leaders United shared that, “YLU loves seeing people across the Region come together for events like this; professional development, networking, and supporting non-profits at the same time!”

“The La Porte Jaycees are excited to be a part of the Region Games! It will present a great opportunity to connect with other young professionals throughout the region while also giving back to great organizations at the same time. We’ll be ready… hopefully.” Said Drew Gesse.

All are encouraged to join the region’s young professionals for a day of fun, complete with; Tug-O-War, Relay Games, Trivia, and a nonprofit fair! If you work up an appetite, and we are sure you will, food and drinks will be available to purchase from Leroy's "Hot Stuff”.

Each participant and spectator will get a chance to vote for their favorite nonprofit. All proceeds will benefit the top three voted nonprofits winning them cold, hard cash!

Here is a list of the participating organizations: American Cancer Society, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana - Duneland Club, Duneland Family YMCA, Family & Youth Services Bureau, Girls on the Run of Northwest Indiana , Housing Opportunities, Jacob's Ladder Pediatric Rehab Center, Porter County Substance Abuse Council, Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Indiana, Women in Bloom, and The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana.

You can register as an individual or join a team for only $25! Teams can be from 5 to 8 participants. Not interested in competing? The spectator ticket for only $15 gets you a vote, networking, and some yard game action too! So recruit your team or register now and get ready for a day of fun that makes a difference.

This event is 21 and over and also a rain or shine event. Day of registration is $35. The young professionals wish to thank the following sponsors: Bryco Services, Meridian Title, Leroy’s Hot Stuff, Generate Sales & Marketing, Chesterton Parks & Recreation, and NWIndianaLife.
