Footlight Players 9th Annual Awards Banquet set for July 25, 2015

Footlight-Laura-MeyerOn Saturday, July 25th, the Footlight Players will host their 9th annual awards banquet at the Moose Family Center in Michigan City. The event will begin with a cocktail hour at 5:30 with dinner at 6:00 followed by the awards presentation emceed by the always amusing Mike McCalment and featuring highlights of the six major productions of this 65th season. Ticket prices are $15.00 if purchased by July 15th and $20.00 afterwards or at the door. Reservations may be made by calling president Bobby Komendera at (219) 879-5840. The awards are split in 15 categories and all shows had 17 viewers making the nominations throughout the year. Initially there were 117 nominations with the final ballot being secretly voted for in the end of June. This year’s recipient of the Hall Of Fame Award will be the multi-talented Laura Meyer and the president shall announce his recipient for the prestigious President's Award that evening. A huge silent auction will also take place during the festivities with dinner music being provided by Ryan and Sherry Sweeney.
