The La Porte High School Marching Band placed 2nd at the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Scholastic A Class State Championship Finals. The state finals were held October 22 at Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis.
With sixteen bands competing for the class state championship the top five finishing bands were announced as follows:
- Zionsville
- La Porte
- Chesterton
- Warren Central
- Pike
The La Porte Marching Band will hold its annual awards night dinner November 1 at 6:00 PM in the LPHS Cafeteria.
