The cities throughout Northwest Indiana are prepping for summer. With summer break just around the corner, this weekend is full of fun activities for the entire family to enjoy outside and what says summer more than ice cream? The Schererville Party in the Park event is all about Dairy! From cows to goats, a Friday night full of milkshakes and ice cream is the perfect start to a great weekend. Saturday support local organizations with a 5k Run and dog walk, watch City of Whiting play softball, and then have join the Bonner Senior Center residents for dinner. Another great weekend ahead to just spend with friends and family! This Sunday is Mother’s Day, so be the best kid you can be and have some fun with Mom! Head out to the Schererville Party in the Park for games and food and drinks on Friday. On Saturday, grab your running shoes and race through Northwest Indiana in one of the local events. And, if running is not your thing, join Hammond Mayor Thomas McDermott Jr on his bike for the Region Riot Criterion Bike race! Then, on Sunday enjoy the day with brunch, flowers and family for the holiday. It is going to be another great weekend of memories with Mom!
The first weekend in May is a weekend of celebration. Kick start the good time with a Fiesta party, honoring the Mexican tradition with music and margaritas.
