Young Artists' Expo & Performance
Lubeznik Center for the Arts will host the second annual LOK Young Artists' Expo in partnership with the Lindsey O'Brien Kesling (LOK) Wishing Tree Foundation. The evening is a showcase of LOK's work with youth in the region which includes support of LCA's youth programs. 

"UP" is Season Opener of 2015 Friday Night at the Movies in Downtown La Porte
Friday June 5th, bring your blankets and chairs to Downtown La Porte and join us for the season kick-off of Friday Night at the Movies. This is a free event open to all ages. The featured film is “UP”. The movie will be shown at dusk in the Herald Argus Parking Lot on the corner of State and Monroe Streets. Before the start of the film there will be a 250 balloon launch, so come early to get your seat because you don’t want to miss this! Free popcorn will be provided by The La Porte Savings Bank. Bump n’ Jump Playhouses will provide free bounce houses for the kids starting at 6 p.m. until the time of the movie. 

Griffith Central Market
The Central Market continues in Central Park. Come on out to have a bite to eat, do some shopping, and listen to some great music from the J. Johnson Blues Band. The Market opens at 3 pm and the music starts at 6 pm. 

Healthy Hustle 5K Run/Walk
Porter Health Care System will present the Healthy Hustle 5K Run/Walk at 8 a.m., Saturday, June 6 at Sunset Hill Farm County Park, 775 Meridian Road in Valparaiso. Proceeds from the event will benefit VNA Hospice of Porter County. 

Get Your Gut Back on Track Workshop set for June 6, 2015

Pet Walk-a-thon and Vendor Fair
Humane Society Calumet Area (HSCA) invites the community to attend its 23rd annual Paws in the Park, a family- and pet-friendly walk-a-thon and vendor fair. The event takes place on Saturday, June 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Main Square Park in Highland, Ind. 

Civic Dance Center Summer Showcase
Civic Dance Center will be presenting their summer showcase at Portage High School on Saturday, June 6th, starting at 2:00 p.m. They will be presenting "Four Movements by Dvorak" (classical ballet), "Devotchka Suite" (Contemporary ballet), "What A Girl Wants" (pre 1 thru Level IV tap, ballet, jazz), and excerpts from "West Side Story." Jammin with Save the Dunes 2015
Save the Dunes, a local nonprofit environmental group, is celebrating life on Lake Michigan by offering the 5th annual “Jammin with Save the Dunes” festival on Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (CST) at the Washington Park Amphitheater in Michigan City, IN. 

Imagine Music Concert Series Presents The Bottle Rockets
The Bottle Rockets will be at the Memorial Opera House on June 6 as part of the 2015 Imagine Music Concert Series. The concert will begin at 7:30pm on June 6, 2015. 

Leon's Triathlon
More than 500 triathletes will descend upon Wolf Lake Memorial Park for the annual Leon’s Triathlon, set to step off at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 7. Leon’s Triathlon, known as “America’s race,” is a nationally broadcast race.
