LPHS Fall Play 2017 – Nov 9-11
The show is called Cyrano: A Nose By Any Other Name." There will be four nights of Fall Play performances in the auditorium at La Porte High School. Shows are at 7 O'Clock on the 9th, 10th, and 11th, and 3 O'Clock on the 12th. Tickets are 5 dollars for students and LPHS staff and senior citizens and 7 dollars for general public.

Styx at the Horseshoe Casino – Nov 10
Styx returns to the Venue at Horseshoe Casino on Friday, November 10th!

Sunrise Kiwanis 10th Annual Chocolate Tasting – Nov 10
Sunrise Kiwanis will host their 10th annual chocolate tasting event with a silent auction, gift basket raffle& decorated tree auction. It is Nov 10 @ 5 pm @ Old Town Banquet Center 711 Calumet Avenue. Tickets are $10 a person or $20 for a family of 5. VIP Night at the Ice for Valpo Parks Foundation – Nov 11
Be the FIRST on the ice this season at this year’s Valpo Parks Foundation’s Party in the Park First Skate Fundraiser at Central Park Plaza ice skating rink. Come skate for a good cause on Saturday, November 11 from 5:00-8:00 pm under the William E Urschel Pavilion. The family friendly event will take place before skating season officially opens making those in attendance the FIRST skaters of the season.

Turn Up the Lights – Nov 11
Purchase tickets now for TURN UP THE LIGHTS - a live-recording festival at the La Porte Civic Auditorium on November 11th. Arts in The Park and the community of People & Songs have teamed up to bring in a large roster of artists from around the nation for this day-long event. We’re bringing a wide variety of critically-acclaimed and award-winning acts from country, folk, singer/songwriter, gospel, and contemporary worship, including a matinee performance of The Tom Milo Big Band and a veterans day tribute. An inviting food court and artisan market in the basement will serve as the hub for gathering and fellowship during intermissions. Selah and People & Songs will have headlining performances as the evenings Grand-Finale.

Hannah's Hope 8th Annual Craft and Vendor Fair – Nov 11
Gather your friends and family and join us for a fun filled day of shopping, lunch, baked goods and door prizes!
Large variety of vendors and crafters.

Oil Painting at the Portage Library – Nov 11
 Beginning Oil Painting Classes are held. Each projects varies, see the example at the front desk, Pre-registration and prepayment ($55) is requested. Fee covers all supplies. Bring your lunch, and come create your own masterpiece!

Hammond Celebrates 4th annual Veteran Appreciation Day Parade – NWIL – Nov 11
The City of Hammond celebrates its 4th annual Veteran Appreciation Day parade on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. in Hammond’s 5th and 6th districts. The parade route travels from Olcott Avenue, down 173rd Street and ends at the Hessville Park Veterans Memorial.

Bears/Packers Tailgate Party – Nov 12
Please join us for an afternoon of football, networking and fun! Sunday, November 12, 2017 for the second annual “Super Social Sunday Fun Day - Bears Tailgate Party”. Registration will begin at 11:30 am with a Bears-Packers kickoff scheduled for noon. The event will be held at 95Ate5 located at 9585 N. Industrial Drive in St. John. Tickets are $35 each which includes, a full tailgate buffet and two drink tickets. A cash bar will be available for all other purchases. Bring your spouse or a friend. Please plan on purchasing your tickets in advance, at the Chamber office, or at the upcoming October or November meetings. You may also, purchase tickets at the door, on the day of the event.
