Porter Regional Hospital Presents Community Wellness Events for August 2014

Who’s Knocking at My Door?
What should you look for when someone knocks at your front door? What questions should you ask to ensure they are who they say they are? Learn more about how to safely identify people who come to your residence and ensure you won’t be victimized by scammers or worse. The event will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, August 21 in the Community Room at Porter Regional Hospital, 85 East US Highway 6 in Valparaiso.

Can’t Stop Coughing?
A chronic cough can be more than just an annoyance. A chronic cough can ruin your sleep and leave you feeling exhausted. Severe cases of chronic cough can result in vomiting, lightheadedness, depression, even rib fractures. Join Pulmonologist & Critical Care Physician Dr. James Anthony to learn the causes and potential treatments for chronic cough. The event will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, August 27 in the Community Room at Porter Regional Hospital, 85 East US Highway 6 in Valparaiso.
