Joe Kolavo, vice president of perishable operations at Highland-based SVT LLC, recently presented a check for $4,000 to Dorothea Doolin, nurse practitioner at St. Clare Health Clinic in Crown Point, to assist with the clinic’s mission of offering health care and other services to uninsured residents of south Lake County. SVT LLC owns and operates Strack & Van Til, Town & Country, Key Market and Ultra Foods. It marks the second year SVT LLC has supported the work of the clinic with funds raised at its annual golf outing. St. Clare is under the auspices of Franciscan St. Anthony Health-Crown Point.
