Clinicians Receive Instruction from Nationally Known Therapist

Clinicians-Receive-Instruction-from-Nationally-Known-TherapistJerry Hesch, of the Colorado-based Hesch Institute, presented a two-day, Hesch Lumbopelvic-Hip and Sacroiliac Joint Workshop recently at Franciscan Point's Sports Medicine Institute. Some 39 area clinicians attended, along with Jennifer Bradsky, clinical manager of outpatient rehabilitation services at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago at Franciscan St. Anthony Health-Crown Point; Tracy Campbell, of Dynamic Rehab-Women's Health in Valparaiso; and Rob Shapiro, of Professional Physical Therapy in Long Island, N.Y.; all of whom assisted Hesch.

Also among those on hand were Suzanne Badillo of the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, which has a partnership with Franciscan Alliance; and several Franciscan Point and Franciscan Omni Health & Fitness therapists. Hesch is shown demonstrating a technique on one of the attendees. He, for more than 35 years, has treated individuals suffering from acute and chronic pain from hypomobility and hypermobility/instability from sacroiliac joint dysfunction, and dysfunction in joints throughout the body.

Hesch has developed a whole-body approach to evaluation and treatment of connective tissues and joint dysfunction, known as the Hesch Method. His goal is to provide an alternative to long-term treatment. Franciscan Point, 12800 Mississippi Parkway, Crown Point, is under the auspices of Franciscan St. Anthony Health-Crown Point.
