Healthcare Foundation of La Porte Grant and Scholarship Applications Available until March 16, 2018

Healthcare-Foundation-of-La-Porte-logoThe mission of the Healthcare Foundation of La Porte is to empower residents to live healthy and well in and around La Porte, Indiana to achieve the vision of La Porte becoming one of the 10 healthiest communities in Indiana by 2030. In pursuit of this mission and vision, HFL has grant applications for health and wellness projects and scholarships for students pursuing degrees in health-related fields available until March 16, 2018.

HFL will have two identical grant cycles in 2018, giving applicants the flexibility to select the cycle that works best for their organization and project timeline. Grant Cycle 1 is now open and closes March 16, and Grant Cycle 2 will open May 25 and close July 6. Organizations with programs and services that impact the health and wellness of the residents within the City of La Porte and surrounding areas should consider applying.

All grant applications must be submitted online through the grant portal to be considered for funding, a link to which can be found on HFL’s website.

In addition to providing funding for health and wellness related programs and services, HFL seeks to increase the number of qualified health professionals in La Porte County. HFL and the La Porte Hospital Auxiliary provide scholarships for students pursuing careers in health and wellness fields who are enrolled at an accredited university, college, or similar higher learning institute.

Scholarship applications are also available now and are due March 16. A total of $33,750 will be awarded in 2018, and scholarships range from $500 to $3,000.
