St. Mary Medical Center Welcomes Angie Tursman as Nurse Practitioner to Staff

Angie-Tursman-WHCNPSt. Mary Medical Center recently welcomed Nurse Practitioner Angela Tursman, WHCNP, to its Community Care Network of physicians and allied health professionals.

Tursman is a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner with more than 10 years of experience in women’s health and integrative medicine. She earned her MSN from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and her BSN from Purdue University. Tursman uses a functional medicine approach to empower her patients to make their best health care decisions. She joins Family and Functional Medicine Practitioner Karin Patterson, DO, in her office at St. Mary Medical Center’s Valparaiso Health Center.

“I recognize that each patient is a unique individual with a unique set of genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors,” says Tursman. “My approach is to treat the patient and identify the cause for the problem as opposed to medicating the symptom. My goal is to empower the patient with education so that health can be restored.” Tursman’s interests include but are not limited to functional and integrative medicine, women’s health and gynecology care, as well as sports nutrition.

Tursman is now accepting patients at Valparaiso Health Center. To make an appointment call 219-663-4007.
