Porter Regional Hospital Opens Interventional Pain Clinic, Welcomes Pain Management Physicians

Porter-Regional-Hospital-SoetersPorter Regional Hospital is proud to announce it recently opened an Interventional Pain Clinic at Valparaiso Medical Center staffed by two board-certified pain management specialists – Benjamin H. Soeter, M.D., and Yuli Soeter, M.D.

At Porter’s new Interventional Pain Clinic, the individual needs of each patient remain the focus as the physicians develop an optimal treatment plan. The pain management physicians collaborate closely with their patients to develop an effective solution.

“Our goal is to work with our patients to help reduce their pain and improve their quality of life,” says Dr. Benjamin Soeter, who is fellowship-trained in pain management.

Coping with pain can be extremely challenging, affecting every aspect of a person’s life – physical ability, emotional well-being and interpersonal relationships. It affects more Americans than diabetes, heart disease and cancer combined, according to the American Academy of Pain Management (AAPM).

“We’re glad to be here for our community and referring physicians,” shared Dr. Yuli Soeter. “We want to help those in need and there is a need for pain control.”

The Interventional Pain Clinic offers pain relief strategies for a variety of conditions, including:

  • Arthritis pain
  • Back, joint and neck pain, including degenerative disc disease
  • Cancer-related pain
  • Headaches
