Franciscan St. Anthony Health-Crown Point will celebrate the expansion of its Breast Care Center services to include breast tomosynthesis 3D mammography with a screening day (by appointment only) from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 31.
The new technology provides greater visibility and detail for radiologists viewing mammography screenings.
Bra-fitting guides, breast education, refreshments and a free gift likewise will be offered throughout the day. Bone density screenings, skin cancer screenings and massages will be available from noon to 4 p.m.
The mammogram screening cost will be covered by many insurance plans.
The Breast Care Center is located on the third floor of the Burrell Professional Building (southwest of the hospital’s main entrance) at 1201 S. Main St.
