The Rev. Anthony Janik, Franciscan St. Anthony Health-Crown Point spiritual services director, blesses one of three new breast tomosynthesis 3D mammography devices Jan. 31, prior to the beginning of a screening day program conducted to celebrate their arrival in the hospital’s Breast Care Center.
The state-of-the-art technology provides greater visibility and detail for radiologists viewing mammography screenings that results in more effective and faster diagnosis and treatment.
Bone density screenings, skin cancer screenings and massages also were available, as were bra-fitting guides, breast education information, refreshments and free gifts.
