GOLF: Purdue Calumet's Patrick Mudd Claims CCAC Golfer of the Week Honor
With his runner-up honors at last week’s Olivet Nazarene Spring Invite, Purdue University Calumet sophomore Patrick Mudd claimed the first Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week award of his career.
Mudd (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) shot a 75 to finish second at the one-day event at Balmoral Woods Country Club in Crete, Ill., to help the Peregrines shoot a 315 team score and place third among 11 teams.
BASEBALL: Purdue Calumet Drops Two Games to Olivet Nazarene Wednesday
The Purdue University Calumet baseball team dropped a pair of league games to visiting Olivet Nazarene University Wednesday afternoon at Dowling Park.
The Peregrines (18-11, 11-11 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference) fell to the Tigers (27-15, 11-11) by scores of 6-1 and 4-3 in the series finale, as the Tigers swept all three games after picking up a 6-3 victory in 10 innings in Tuesday’s nine-inning opener.
