It is the third installment of the weekly award for the 2018 season.

Kah also becomes just the second PNW student-athlete to earn the conference recognition joining senior Miguel David (San Diego, Calif./Bonita Vista) from the Pride men’s soccer team, who was named the GLIAC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week back on September 11, 2017.

Kah went 4-0 this past weekend with two matches on the road at Central College in Pella, Iowa. He competed at two singles matches both at No. 3 singles and won in straight sets 6-1, 6-0 in his first match. In his second match, Kah did not lose a game winning in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0 and defeating an opponent who was 7-3 on the season.

He also competed at two doubles matches, both at No. 2 doubles. In his first match, he won 8-1 and then 8-7, in the second match and in the tie-breaker (7-5). Kah beat out four other GLIAC nominees to claim the conference’s weekly honor.

The Purdue Northwest men’s tennis team heads to Davenport, Iowa, on Saturday, March 3, to take on Saint Ambrose University. The road match is scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. start at the Quad Cities Tennis Club.
