Marquette Catholic Continue Winning Ways against Morgan Township

marquette-catholic-logoMarquette Catholic continued their winning ways Friday as both the Junior Varsity and Varsity won their contests against Morgan Township Friday evening.  The Blazers picked up a victory in the Junior Varsity contest, easily dispensing of the Cherokees 54-29.

 In the Varsity contest, a slow start hindered the Blazers as they shook off the rust from a extended break, trailing 21-12 early on.  But the Blazers fought back, eventually taking a 29-28 halftime lead.  The Blazers kicked it up a notch in the second half and never looked back, winning 74-58.  

The Blazers were led by Sophmore Ryan Fazekas with 15 points and 15 boards and by Junior Nathan Flores who also had 15 points.  Jasmin Bieberovic and Braxton Miller were also in double figures with 13 a piece.  

The Blazers will return to action Friday, January 4, when they travel to Hammond to take on the Warriors of Bishop Noll for a triple header.  C team tips off at 4:30 followed by Junior Varsity at 5:30 and Varsity at 7:00.
