La Lumiere School is proud to announce that seniors Drew Cayce, Jalen Coleman-Lands, Alex Olesinski, and Munis Tutu have been nominated for the 2015 McDonald's All American Games. 823 players from 47 states and the District of Columbia received nominations, including 22 men from Indiana. Between La Lumiere’s four nominations and a nomination received by another local athlete, La Porte County received almost a quarter of the State’s nominations. The final teams will be announced during the McDonald’s All American Games Selection Show on ESPNU on January 28 at 5 p.m. CT and the tournament will be held on April 1 at the United Center in Chicago.
La Lu shooting guard and ESPN 4-star recruit Jalen Coleman-Lands officially signed a letter of intent with the University of Illinois last November. Alex Olesinski, a 6’ 9” forward is considering offers from Gonzaga and Boston College; point guard Munis Tutu has offers from several schools, including Loyola Marymount; and Drew Cayce, a 6’ 3” shooting guard is being recruited by several Division I schools.
"The 823 high school basketball players who were nominated for the 2015 McDonald's All American Games represent the finest high school basketball talent in the country," said Morgan Wootten, Hall of Fame basketball coach and McDonald's All American Games Selection Committee Chairman. "We are privileged to acknowledge these students for their success on the court, in the classroom and in the community, and look forward to announcing the final roster of 24 girls and 24 boys later this month."
