Marquette-Catholic-High-School-Sophomore-Breaks-School-RecordMarquette Catholic High School’s athletic department announces today that sophomore, Stacey Barron, has broken the school’s single season goals record with 21 goals. Barron also broke the school’s assist record by having 17 assists in 2015. Barron is a two time 1st Team NWISC All Conference player as well as ISCA Top Team player and Indiana Elite All Star. The Blazers finished this season with a 11-7 record, their best mark in the last 15 years.

Lady BLAZER soccer coach Lacey Hersman states, “Stacey is a special player that has a knack for finding the back of the net. She is able to convert goals for us in big game situations and steps up when her teammates need her. She started the season in a boot and ended with 21 goals and 17 assists, that is impressive work. She is an unselfish player, as shown by the number of assists she had this season, and works hard on and off the ball. Stacey earned a captain's band as a sophomore for her terrific work ethic, leadership, and skill. I am excited to see what the next 2 years at Marquette hold for Stacey.”
