The La Porte High School Marching Band placed third in Open A Class at the Penn Invitational held at Penn High School on September 23. The contest was moved inside due to heat with only the music and general effect captions being scored Complete Open A Class results follow:

On September 30 the LPHS Marching Band will compete at the Plymouth Invitational. The contest begins at 3:45 PM E.S.T. with La Porte scheduled to perform at 7:46 PM E.S.T.
On October 7 the band will compete at the Indiana State School Music Association Scholastic Class Prelims at Homestead High School. The contest begins at 11:00 AM E.S.T. with La Porte performing at 3:04 PM E.S.T.
