Extraordinary People, Extraordinary Care

Community Healthcare System is comprised of three not-for-profit hospitals: Community Hospital in Munster, St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago and St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart, and it is the region's largest integrated healthcare system. The hospitals operate the area's most advanced cardiovascular treatment program, and support the area's largest cancer research program. Community Healthcare System has been recognized by Thomson Reuters as one of the nation's top performing health systems for hospital quality and efficiency of care. Most recently, U.S. News & World Report included Community Healthcare System hospitals in the Chicago area's first-ever Best Hospitals metro area rankings.

As non-profit facilities, the hospitals offer numerous free programs, special events, preventative screenings and support groups that help to improve the quality of life in Northwest Indiana.
