Downtown La Porte Rolling Out the Red & Green Carpet for Santa
La Porte kicked off the holiday season in style, with the annual Santa Parade the weekend after Thanksgiving. The event also featured a screening of the movie Prancer, coloring contest, tree lighting ceremony, train rides, vendors selling good, and most importantly, visits with the man in red himself.
United Way of La Porte Presents: A Night in Old Chicago
Gangsters, flappers, and The Blues Brothers gathered together all in the name of a good cause at the annual fundraiser for the United Way, which took place at the Blue Chip Casino's Stardust Event Center.

LaPorteCountyLife.com joined forces with the Lubeznik Center for the Arts in presenting the recent Iconoclastic! exhibit, which runs through February 24. The exhibit features works that appropriate, manipulate, and repurpose popular images from advertising, American pop culture, religion, and the art world.

1,800 people piled into the La Porte Civic Auditorium on December 1 to simultaneously jam out and combat a serious problem. A country Christmas concert featuring Clint Black raised money towards suicide prevention and battling drug abuse.
